Recap

Despite starting in a 4-2-1 formation we managed to hold on with poor Katie having to provide the offence all by herself. They attacked us with 9 players, holding one back to cover Katie. A few minutes later Bill Knights came to the rescue in his shining armor. That gave us 5 men and 3 women field players and our shell shocked keeper. We gave them the wind in the first half. They toyed with us but forgot to score. Somehow they forgot to score in the 2nd half as well. They started to panic when they realized they were running out of time. Which worked in our favor. That along with some good defending by all, good saves, the wind at our backs and some luck, we held them to a nil – nil draw.

We left everything we had out on that field. Those of you not at this game owe us a beer. (but not in the parking lot : )
